Resmi Jaimon
Freelance Writer, Mumbai, India
I am a freelance writer and work-from-home entrepreneur, born and brought up in Kochi and Trivandrum, Kerala, India. After 40 years of life in Kerala, I moved to Mumbai, my current city in 2019.
If not for the pandemic, I keep shuttling between Kerala and Mumbai very frequently. Moving to Mumbai from Kerala began as a cultural shock and eventually, changed several of my perspectives towards life.
I handle multiple roles in daily life ranging from my new found role as a homeschooling mom, writer, painter and designing traditional Kerala attires – Sarees and Set Mundu.
Over the past seventeen years, I have written for more than 120 publications in India and abroad, writing white papers and speeches for corporate houses and top level management. I love finding fresh story ideas, researching from the scratch, interviewing sources and finally, writing the story.
I love to take short and long family holidays, travel and see the world. I love to meet people, explore little known Indian destinations and textile markets. I also love to drive on Indian roads. My current interest lies in digging deeper into homeschooling in India and brushing up my childhood passion of painting.
